The first new Monkey Do mix in aaaages

It’s been a while but I felt the urge to mix some tunes that I found recently. It’s a bit of a departure from the straightforward psytrance that I’m perhaps known for, taking in a deeper more minimal trance/techno vibe. It’s still definitely psychedelic though – can I do it any other way?

Anyway the link to the MP3 is Monkey Do – Slash Slash 1.mp3 (right click save as)

Tracklist
AAGSF – Pride (Fcode Remix)
Mr.Dee – Battle Panic
Thompson & Kuhl – Heisse Luft
Knifestyle – Toss And Turn
Tapwatr – The End Of Everything
Kalumet – Blaxun
Knifestyle – Rainsaw
Dan Rotor – Professor Wurstig
Fuzzion – Solar (Alic Remix)
BitShift – Specialist
Sound Field – Saved By Technology
Kino Oko – Red Rose Flow

And as an extra special treat I’ve only used tunes that are free to download from netlabels – this wasn’t intentional but the most interesting music to come my way recently has come via this route so if you wanted to download the component parts of this mix you can from the following sites:

Digital Diamonds

Shoki

N.Division

Enjoy.

That tune you asked me about…

Right then. This is a very specific post.

Someone contacted me through this site a few months ago and asked me for a track ID in one of my mixes. I listened to the mix but I suffered some sort of mental block and couldn’t remember the name of the tune. I wrote back saying as much and that I thought the album had a green cover and as soon as the fog lifted I’d send you the name of the tune.

Well if that was you  I’ve lost your e-mail address but for what it’s worth if you ever come back here the tune was Dance with the Devil by Acupuncture on the V/A Destan which does in-fact have a green cover. And it’s all manner of awesome still.
